Faming Chen received his Ph.D. from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. During Ph.D. study, his research area was computational biology, and his research direction was to predict the functions of hub transcription factors through gene regulatory network reconstruction and analysis. After graduation, he joined Yu lab for postdoctoral research, and his current research direction is deep learning modeling of DNA sequence, which is applied to the analysis of the biological effects of DNA variants associated with human diseases.
